It's been a while! Fighting with cloth physics!


Hey! I posted here a while ago, last month I was very busy at my day job so I wasn't able to have some time to post.

Lately we've been trying to implement cloth physics on the sail of the ship with no success so far! 

We are using Obi Cloth by Virtual Method and there are some nice samples they provide so the issue isn't related to the asset at all.

The problem is that we have this not so good sail with the model we are using

It has two sides in it's mesh and it wasnt simulating the way we wanted to

It was looking bad and with a lot of artifacts in the vertexes

So we decided ok let's cut and modify the sail mesh!


It is very unstable and the mesh isn't quite good enough


I will make a nice post on twitter once I nail it
